Jerusalem Galala Ivory Light Cream Honed Limestone Tiles

Galala Ivory Light Cream is a pale Egyptian limestone with warm ivory, soft cream and light beige movement. It is also known in the trade as Galala Light or Egyptian Galala marble, although geologically it is a dense limestone. Its subtle fossil detail gives the surface natural character without overpowering a light interior scheme.

The honed finish creates a smooth, flat surface with clean edges and a refined soft-matt appearance. It gives this light stone a calm, contemporary look while preserving its gentle tonal variation.

Available sizes
• 600 x 400 x 15 mm
• 600 x 900 x 15 mm
• 600 x Free Length x 15 mm
• 600 x 900 x 20 mm
• 600 x Free Length x 20 mm
• 600 x 900 x 30 mm

The 15 mm formats are suited to interior floors and walls in kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and open-plan spaces. The thicker 20 mm and 30 mm options may be considered for suitable exterior paving when correctly installed and sealed, although a honed surface can become slippery when wet.

Galala is a natural material, so tone, fossil content and surface detail vary between tiles. Blend material from several packs, order approximately 10% extra for cuts and selection, and seal before and after grouting in line with your installer’s advice.

What does surface treatments mean?

TUMBLED SURFACE: The surface of the tumbled product is distressed by being tumbled. The distressed surface has a non-shiny, matte appearance, a velvety touch, and rounded edges. Distressed surfaces are quite successful in adding a sophisticated atmosphere to the space.

HONED SURFACE: Honed surface is a commonly preferred surface treatment in marble mosaics. In this process, the natural texture of marble is preserved while the surface is mattified and a textured appearance is achieved. Honed surface provides elegance and sophistication in marble mosaics, while also attracting attention with its texture and offering practical use with its non-slip feature.

BRUSHED SURFACE: During the brushing process, scratch effects are added to the surface to create a natural texture. This results in a non-slip surface, making it suitable for floors. Additionally, it adds a sophisticated touch to any space.

POLISHED SURFACE: Polished surface is a surface treatment commonly applied in the manufacturing process of materials such as stone, marble, or ceramics. This process ensures that the material achieves a smooth, shiny, and polished appearance.

Notes:

*Natural stone inherently exhibits variations. Colour, texture, shading, pitting, fissures, and veining may differ from the provided samples. These variances are intrinsic qualities of natural stone and should not be considered as defects.
