Choose the Right Travertine Format

• Tumbled unfilled tiles: softened edges and visible natural pores in light and light-to-medium blends.
• Octagon tiles with inserts: Shellstone limestone paired with Classic travertine in a traditional octagon-and-dot layout.
• Patio paving: light, silver and walnut travertine for appropriately specified outdoor projects; check the supplied format and pack schedule.
• Split face ledger panels: textured stone strips for vertical wall cladding, available in Light, Classic, Silver and Scabos travertine.

Wall Tiles, Floor Tiles and Wall Cladding

Follow the individual product specification. Wall and floor tiles must be selected for the intended location and installation system. Split face ledger panels are wall cladding and should not be specified as floor tiles. The tumbled finish gives a soft, natural texture underfoot.

Sizes, Thickness and Coverage

Read the technical table and selected variant before calculating quantities. Sizes, thickness, pieces per box and selling units differ between individual tiles, paving sets and ledger panels. Confirm any missing pack information before ordering and allow for cuts, pattern alignment, wastage and spare material.

Tumbled and Unfilled Travertine

Tumbling softens the edges and gives the stone an aged appearance. Unfilled travertine retains visible natural pores and voids. Agree how these will be treated during installation before selecting grout and sealer, because the finishing process affects the final surface.

Outdoor Paving and Exterior Walls

Choose a product specified for the proposed exterior location. Confirm its thickness, frost performance, slip requirements, intended loading, drainage and fixing system. Gallery illustrations show design possibilities and do not replace the exact product specification.

Natural Variation and Samples

Colour, pores, texture and veining vary between pieces and batches. View a sample in your own lighting and dry-lay material from several packs to balance the variation before fixing.

Installation, Sealing and Care

Use a fixing system compatible with natural stone and the intended location. Wet areas need suitable waterproofing; stone sealer does not replace it. Test grout and sealer on a spare piece and follow the manufacturers' guidance.

Clean with a pH-neutral natural-stone cleaner. Avoid vinegar, acidic descalers and abrasive products. Wipe up spills promptly and follow the sealer manufacturer's maintenance and resealing instructions.
