Installation Tips:

To ensure a professional and lasting finish:

  1. Surface Prep: Install on a clean, dry, and structurally sound surface (rendered wall, blockwork, cement board, etc.).
  2. Adhesive: Use a high-quality natural stone adhesive suitable for the weight and environment (e.g. BAL or Mapei for UK conditions).
  3. Dry Layout First: Lay panels on the ground to mix tones and avoid colour clustering.
  4. Cutting: Use a wet tile saw with a diamond blade for clean cuts.
  5. Staggered Fit: Follow the interlocking pattern and avoid lining up vertical seams.
  6. Sealing: Seal panels after installation (and before grouting if any filling is needed) using a natural stone impregnating sealer.
  7. Exterior Use: Ensure proper drainage behind wall cladding and use frost-resistant adhesives and sealers.
  8. Safety: Always wear gloves and eye protection when handling stone panels.

For larger installations, we recommend consulting a professional installer familiar with natural stone cladding.

Care Instructions:

  • Clean with a soft cloth and pH-neutral stone cleaner.
  • Avoid acidic or abrasive products that could dull the polished finish.
  • Wipe spills immediately to prevent staining.

What does surface treatments mean?

TUMBLED SURFACE: The surface of the tumbled product is distressed by being tumbled. The distressed surface has a non-shiny, matte appearance, a velvety touch, and rounded edges. Distressed surfaces are quite successful in adding a sophisticated atmosphere to the space.

HONED SURFACE: Honed surface is a commonly preferred surface treatment in marble mosaics. In this process, the natural texture of marble is preserved while the surface is mattified and a textured appearance is achieved. Honed surface provides elegance and sophistication in marble mosaics, while also attracting attention with its texture and offering practical use with its non-slip feature.

BRUSHED SURFACE: During the brushing process, scratch effects are added to the surface to create a natural texture. This results in a non-slip surface, making it suitable for floors. Additionally, it adds a sophisticated touch to any space.

POLISHED SURFACE: Polished surface is a surface treatment commonly applied in the manufacturing process of materials such as stone, marble, or ceramics. This process ensures that the material achieves a smooth, shiny, and polished appearance.

Notes:

*Natural stone inherently exhibits variations. Color, texture, shading, pitting, fissures, and veining may differ from the provided samples. These variances are intrinsic qualities of natural stone and should not be considered as defects.
