Our Story
We do not just sell stone.
We make it.
Decoribbo is built around natural stone manufacturing — selecting, cutting, finishing and shaping marble, limestone and travertine into tiles, mosaics and bespoke pieces with a clear understanding of how the material behaves.

The character of the stone decides the process.
Every piece of natural stone begins with its own colour, veining, mineral structure and density. Those differences influence the way it should be cut, calibrated and finished.
We look at the material before deciding the format. A soft honed finish may reveal a calmer architectural character; polishing can deepen colour and movement; tumbling can create a softer, aged edge. The production choice changes not only the appearance, but also how the surface feels and how it should be cared for.

No two pieces are identical. Veins, fossils, pores, mineral markings and tonal shifts can change across a batch. Rather than trying to remove that character, the aim is to understand it and manufacture consistently enough that the finished installation still feels intentional.
This is why we think beyond a single sample. We consider how the stone will read across a complete floor, wall or room; how the finish will react to light; and how the individual pieces should be distributed before fixing.
Different stones ask for different treatments.

Marble
From soft white and grey backgrounds to expressive veining and stronger contrast.

Limestone
Often quieter and more grounded, with subtle movement, fossils and tonal variation.

Natural stone finishes
Finish changes colour depth, reflection, texture and the way a stone reads in a room.

A tile is only one part of the final surface.
Scale, grout colour, natural light and the relationship between neighbouring pieces all change the way stone is read once installed.
For larger projects, dry-laying before fixing can help distribute veins, stronger markings and quieter pieces more naturally across the space. Sampling shows colour and finish, while a full order reveals the broader range of natural variation.
Manufacturing gives us the freedom to work beyond standard rectangles.
Hexagons, herringbone, basket weave, chequerboard, flower, picket, brick and other geometric formats can completely change the expression of the same stone. Small decisions — chip size, joint spacing, finish and stone combination — have a large visual effect.
Consistency without pretending nature is uniform.
With natural stone, quality does not mean making every piece look identical. It means controlling the parts that should be controlled — size, thickness, finish, edges and production accuracy — while presenting natural characteristics honestly.
Veining, fossils, tonal movement, small pits and mineral details are not automatically defects. In many stones, they are part of the material itself.
Our aim is to balance precision with authenticity.

Suitable projects may require a particular tile size, a different surface finish, a custom mosaic or a specific stone combination. Because our approach starts with manufacturing, we can consider requirements beyond stocked formats rather than forcing every project into a standard product.
This is especially useful in design-led residential, hospitality and commercial interiors where proportion and finish matter as much as the stone itself.
About our natural stone
Are Decoribbo products manufactured by you?
Decoribbo is built around our own natural stone manufacturing experience. We are directly involved in developing natural stone tiles, mosaics, finishes and suitable bespoke formats.
Why do natural stone tiles vary from piece to piece?
Natural stone is formed geologically rather than printed to a repeating pattern. Veining, fossils, mineral markings and tonal variation are normal characteristics and form part of the material's identity.
Should I order a sample first?
We recommend sampling wherever possible. A sample helps assess colour, texture and finish, while a full order will naturally show a broader range of variation.
Can natural stone be used on walls and floors?
Many products can be used on both, but suitability depends on the specific stone, thickness, finish and installation area. Product-specific guidance should always be checked.
Does natural stone need sealing?
Many natural stones benefit from sealing, particularly in kitchens, bathrooms and other areas exposed to water or staining agents. The appropriate sealer and care routine depends on the material and finish.
Can you manufacture bespoke sizes or mosaics?
Yes, bespoke production can be considered for suitable projects, including custom tile sizes, finishes, mosaic formats and stone combinations.
