Products and materials

What does Decoribbo sell?

Decoribbo is a UK tile retailer specialising in mosaic, wall, floor, bathroom and kitchen tiles. The range includes natural stone mosaics made from materials such as marble and travertine.

What is a natural stone mosaic tile?

A natural stone mosaic is made from small pieces of stone, such as marble or travertine, arranged into a pattern. Many mosaics are supplied on mesh-backed sheets to make positioning and installation easier.

Are natural stone tiles all identical?

No. Natural stone varies in colour, veining, texture and pattern, so each tile or sheet may look slightly different. These variations are a normal feature of genuine stone rather than a manufacturing fault.

Where can mosaic tiles be used?

Mosaic tiles can be used on suitable kitchen and bathroom walls, splashbacks, feature walls and selected floors. Suitability depends on the tile material, finish and slip resistance, so check the individual product details before ordering.

Can natural stone mosaics be used in showers or other wet areas?

Many natural stone mosaics can be used in wet areas when the substrate is correctly waterproofed and the stone is properly sealed. Confirm that the specific product is suitable for your application before installation.

Choosing and ordering tiles

How do I choose the right tile for my project?

Start with the installation area, whether it is a wall or floor, the expected moisture and foot traffic, and the finish you want. Then check the product specification for material, dimensions and recommended use. Decoribbo can provide product, design and technical guidance for your project.

How many tiles should I order?

Measure the total area and add at least 10% for cuts, breakages and future repairs. Complex layouts, diagonal patterns or rooms with many corners may require a larger allowance.

Should I order all my tiles at the same time?

Yes. Ordering the full quantity together helps reduce visible differences between production batches. Check all boxes before installation and mix tiles from several boxes to distribute natural colour and pattern variation evenly.

Does Decoribbo offer custom mosaic designs?

Yes. Decoribbo can support special projects with custom sizes, colour variations and mosaic patterns. Rendering support may also be available to help visualise a design before production; contact the team with your project requirements.

Can I contact Decoribbo before ordering?

Yes. For product, design or technical guidance, call 01323 692024, email info@decoribbo.co.uk or use the website contact form. Decoribbo states that contact-form enquiries are usually answered within 24 hours.

Installation and care

How are mosaic tiles installed?

Mosaic sheets are installed on a clean, level and suitably prepared substrate using an adhesive appropriate for the tile and location. The sheets are aligned and pressed evenly into place, then grouted after the adhesive has cured. Follow the product instructions and use a qualified tiler where appropriate.

Do natural stone tiles need sealing?

Natural stone is porous and generally benefits from a suitable penetrating sealer. Sealing before grouting and resealing when required can help reduce staining and moisture absorption. Always test the sealer on an inconspicuous area and follow the manufacturer’s instructions.

How should I clean natural stone mosaic tiles?

Use a soft cloth or mop with a pH-neutral cleaner made for natural stone. Avoid acidic, abrasive or harsh chemical cleaners, including vinegar and limescale remover, because they can etch or damage the surface.

Can I install natural stone mosaics myself?

Experienced DIY installers may be able to fit simple mosaic areas, but natural stone requires the correct substrate, adhesive, cutting method, grout and sealer. Wet rooms, floors and complex patterns are best handled by a qualified professional.

Delivery and support

How are tile orders packaged?

Decoribbo wraps tile products in protective materials, packs them in sturdy cartons and may palletise larger orders to reduce movement and damage during transport.

Does Decoribbo deliver outside the UK?

Yes. Decoribbo offers international delivery. The available service and cost depend on the destination, order size and weight; contact the team for a project-specific delivery quote.

What should I do when my tile order arrives?

Check the quantity, product, shade and condition of every box before installation. Keep the tiles and packaging, photograph any visible transit damage and contact Decoribbo promptly if something is incorrect. Do not install tiles that you believe may be faulty or different from your order.
