Shellstone Brushed Limestone Triangle Mosaic Tiles offer a more distinctive alternative to traditional square and hexagon mosaics. The triangular pieces create a repeating geometric pattern that adds movement and character while allowing the natural beauty of the limestone to remain the focus.

Also known as Myra Limestone and Fossil Limestone, Shellstone is recognised for its warm cream and beige colouring together with naturally occurring fossil and shell details. These subtle markings give the stone an authentic appearance and make every sheet slightly different.

The brushed finish adds gentle texture to the surface, bringing out the natural variation within the limestone while giving the mosaic a relaxed, tactile appearance. The neutral colouring works particularly well with timber, natural oak, black fittings and warm metallic finishes.

What does surface treatments mean?

TUMBLED SURFACE: The surface of the tumbled product is distressed by being tumbled. The distressed surface has a non-shiny, matte appearance, a velvety touch, and rounded edges. Distressed surfaces are quite successful in adding a sophisticated atmosphere to the space.

HONED SURFACE: Honed surface is a commonly preferred surface treatment in marble mosaics. In this process, the natural texture of marble is preserved while the surface is mattified and a textured appearance is achieved. Honed surface provides elegance and sophistication in marble mosaics, while also attracting attention with its texture and offering practical use with its non-slip feature.

BRUSHED SURFACE: During the brushing process, scratch effects are added to the surface to create a natural texture. This results in a non-slip surface, making it suitable for floors. Additionally, it adds a sophisticated touch to any space.

POLISHED SURFACE: Polished surface is a surface treatment commonly applied in the manufacturing process of materials such as stone, marble, or ceramics. This process ensures that the material achieves a smooth, shiny, and polished appearance.

Notes:

*Natural stone inherently exhibits variations. Colour, texture, shading, pitting, fissures, and veining may differ from the provided samples. These variances are intrinsic qualities of natural stone and should not be considered as defects.
