Bring a sense of timeless calm and texture to your home with our White Rustic Edge Square Honed Marble Mosaic Tile. This exquisite mosaic captures the classic beauty of natural white marble, offering a bright and airy aesthetic that instantly lifts any interior space.

This tile features a sophisticated dual-finish design. The surface of each square is honed to a smooth, matte velvet finish, which feels soft to the touch and diffuses light beautifully. Contrasting this refined face are the Rustic Edges (also known as broken or chipped edges). These irregular, tumbled borders give the stone an authentic, antique character, softening the clean lines of the white marble and adding a layer of organic texture that prevents the look from feeling too clinical.

The palette is a soothing blend of soft whites and light milky tones, with subtle natural variation that is the hallmark of genuine stone. Whether you are aiming for a Mediterranean villa look, a rustic farmhouse kitchen, or a serene modern spa bathroom, this mosaic provides the perfect textured backdrop. It is supplied on a flexible mesh backing for easy installation.

Key Features

  • Premium Natural White Marble: Features a classic soft white base with subtle natural veining and variation.
  • Honed (Matte) Surface: The face of the tile is smooth and matte, offering a modern, sophisticated feel.
  • Rustic / Broken Edge: The edges are chipped and tumbled to create an aged, textural appearance.
  • Bright & Airy Palette: Perfect for making small rooms feel larger and maximising natural light.
  • Mesh-Mounted for Easy Installation: Pre-arranged on a high-quality fibre-mesh sheet for accurate and simpler fitting.
  • Substantial Thickness: Approx 10mm thickness for a robust and durable finish.

Recommended Applications

This versatile mosaic is perfect for a wide range of applications:

  • Spa-Style Bathrooms: Create a serene sanctuary. Use it on walls or shower floors where the rustic texture adds slip resistance and organic charm.
  • Textured Kitchen Splashbacks: An ideal alternative to flat white tiles. The rustic edges add interest and warmth to a white or grey kitchen without introducing bold colour.
  • Brightening Small Spaces: Perfect for cloakrooms or en-suites. The light reflective qualities of the white marble help to open up smaller rooms.
  • Feature Alcoves: Use it to line shelves or alcoves with lighting to highlight the beautiful texture of the broken edges.

Installation & Care

To get the best possible finish with your natural stone tiles, we recommend keeping the following in mind:

  • Due to the rustic, broken edge, the grout lines may vary slightly in width, adding to the charm. Using a flexible grout is advised.
  • You should use a white flexible tile adhesive. Using a grey adhesive can show through and stain the light-coloured marble.
  • Grout colour choice transforms the look. A white or light grey grout will create a seamless, subtle texture. A darker grey grout will highlight the shape of each individual square for a more patterned look.
  • We recommend sealing with a high-quality impregnator before and after grouting to prevent staining.
  • We strongly advise dry-laying a few sheets of the mosaic before permanent fixing to ensure you are happy with the layout and natural variation.

What does surface treatments mean?

TUMBLED SURFACE: The surface of the tumbled product is distressed by being tumbled. The distressed surface has a non-shiny, matte appearance, a velvety touch, and rounded edges. Distressed surfaces are quite successful in adding a sophisticated atmosphere to the space.

HONED SURFACE: Honed surface is a commonly preferred surface treatment in marble mosaics. In this process, the natural texture of marble is preserved while the surface is mattified and a textured appearance is achieved. Honed surface provides elegance and sophistication in marble mosaics, while also attracting attention with its texture and offering practical use with its non-slip feature.

BRUSHED SURFACE: During the brushing process, scratch effects are added to the surface to create a natural texture. This results in a non-slip surface, making it suitable for floors. Additionally, it adds a sophisticated touch to any space.

POLISHED SURFACE: Polished surface is a surface treatment commonly applied in the manufacturing process of materials such as stone, marble, or ceramics. This process ensures that the material achieves a smooth, shiny, and polished appearance.

Notes:

*Natural stone inherently exhibits variations. Colour, texture, shading, pitting, fissures, and veining may differ from the provided samples. These variances are intrinsic qualities of natural stone and should not be considered as defects.
