Natural Limestone Colour, Finish & Character

As a genuine natural limestone, Seagrass varies from piece to piece in shade, markings and surface texture. These natural differences are part of the material’s character. We recommend viewing a sample in the intended lighting and mixing tiles from several packs before installation.

Available Formats & Project Planning

Available selections include 305 x 305 x 10 mm and 610 x 305 x 10 mm. Check the selected variant for current availability and price, and allow for cuts, wastage and spare pieces when calculating quantities.

Where to Use These Tiles

It is suitable for appropriately specified interior walls and floors, including kitchens and bathrooms.

For wet floors, confirm the required slip resistance and installation system. Wet areas require appropriate waterproofing.

Installation & Sealing

Install over a correctly prepared substrate using a suitable natural-stone adhesive and grout. Wet areas require appropriate waterproofing, and floor applications should be assessed for the required slip resistance. Limestone is porous and generally benefits from a compatible natural-stone sealer.

Cleaning & Long-Term Care

Use a pH-neutral cleaner formulated for natural stone. Avoid acidic cleaners, harsh descalers and abrasive methods. Clean spills promptly and follow the sealer manufacturer’s guidance on maintenance and resealing.

Design Ideas & Samples

The honed finish and muted beige-grey colouring pair well with timber, painted cabinetry and understated bathroom or kitchen schemes. Order a sample first to assess the actual tone and finish in your own space.

What does surface treatments mean?

TUMBLED SURFACE: The surface of the tumbled product is distressed by being tumbled. The distressed surface has a non-shiny, matte appearance, a velvety touch, and rounded edges. Distressed surfaces are quite successful in adding a sophisticated atmosphere to the space.

HONED SURFACE: Honed surface is a commonly preferred surface treatment in marble mosaics. In this process, the natural texture of marble is preserved while the surface is mattified and a textured appearance is achieved. Honed surface provides elegance and sophistication in marble mosaics, while also attracting attention with its texture and offering practical use with its non-slip feature.

BRUSHED SURFACE: During the brushing process, scratch effects are added to the surface to create a natural texture. This results in a non-slip surface, making it suitable for floors. Additionally, it adds a sophisticated touch to any space.

POLISHED SURFACE: Polished surface is a surface treatment commonly applied in the manufacturing process of materials such as stone, marble, or ceramics. This process ensures that the material achieves a smooth, shiny, and polished appearance.

Notes:

*Natural stone inherently exhibits variations. Colour, texture, shading, pitting, fissures, and veining may differ from the provided samples. These variances are intrinsic qualities of natural stone and should not be considered as defects.
