Installation & Sealing

Use adhesive and grout suitable for natural marble over a correctly prepared substrate. Check adhesive compatibility and grout colour on a small area first. Wet areas require an appropriate waterproofing system. Seal using a product suitable for the stone and its polished finish, following the manufacturer's instructions. Polished stone gives a beautiful shine; for wet floors and outdoor walking areas, honed, tumbled and brushed finishes add natural grip — ask us if you would like advice for your project.

Cleaning & Care

Clean with a pH-neutral natural-stone cleaner and wipe up spills promptly. Avoid vinegar, acidic cleaners, harsh descalers and abrasive products, which can damage the stone. Follow the sealer manufacturer's maintenance and resealing guidance.

Natural Colour & Variation

Colour, veining and surface markings vary naturally between pieces, sheets and batches. Order a sample to assess Belgravia Polished Marble Basket Weave Mosaic in your own lighting before placing a larger order.

What does surface treatments mean?

TUMBLED SURFACE: The surface of the tumbled product is distressed by being tumbled. The distressed surface has a non-shiny, matte appearance, a velvety touch, and rounded edges. Distressed surfaces are quite successful in adding a sophisticated atmosphere to the space.

HONED SURFACE: Honed surface is a commonly preferred surface treatment in marble mosaics. In this process, the natural texture of marble is preserved while the surface is mattified and a textured appearance is achieved. Honed surface provides elegance and sophistication in marble mosaics, while also attracting attention with its texture and offering practical use with its non-slip feature.

BRUSHED SURFACE: During the brushing process, scratch effects are added to the surface to create a natural texture. This results in a non-slip surface, making it suitable for floors. Additionally, it adds a sophisticated touch to any space.

POLISHED SURFACE: Polished surface is a surface treatment commonly applied in the manufacturing process of materials such as stone, marble, or ceramics. This process ensures that the material achieves a smooth, shiny, and polished appearance.

Notes:

*Natural stone inherently exhibits variations. Colour, texture, shading, pitting, fissures, and veining may differ from the provided samples. These variances are intrinsic qualities of natural stone and should not be considered as defects.
