Shellstone Brushed Limestone, also widely known as Myra Limestone or Fossil Limestone, is a warm natural stone characterised by soft cream, sand and light beige tones. Its gently brushed surface enhances the natural texture of the stone, revealing subtle fossil markings, shell detail and tonal variation that make every tile unique.

With its calm neutral palette and authentic natural-stone character, Myra Limestone works beautifully in kitchens, bathrooms, hallways, open-plan living spaces and feature walls.

Natural Limestone Colour, Finish & Character

Shellstone / Myra Limestone is a genuine natural material, so variation in shade, fossil markings, veining and surface detail is expected. These differences are part of the character of the stone rather than a fault. Mix tiles from several packs before installation for a balanced result.

Available Formats & Project Planning

Available formats include 305 x 305 x 10 mm, 610 x 305 x 12 mm and 610 x 610 x 12 mm. Check the selected variant for current availability and price, and allow for cuts, wastage and spare pieces when calculating quantities.

Installation & Sealing

Install over a correctly prepared substrate using a suitable natural-stone adhesive and grout. Wet areas require appropriate waterproofing. Limestone is porous and generally benefits from a compatible natural-stone sealer, including pre-grout protection where recommended.

Cleaning & Long-Term Care

Use a pH-neutral cleaner formulated for natural stone. Avoid acidic cleaners, harsh descalers and abrasive products. Clean spills promptly and follow the sealer manufacturer’s guidance on maintenance and resealing.

Design Ideas & Samples

The warm cream and beige tones pair naturally with timber, oak, brushed brass, black metal and understated interiors. Order a sample first to assess the actual colour, fossil detail and brushed finish in your own lighting.

What does surface treatments mean?

TUMBLED SURFACE: The surface of the tumbled product is distressed by being tumbled. The distressed surface has a non-shiny, matte appearance, a velvety touch, and rounded edges. Distressed surfaces are quite successful in adding a sophisticated atmosphere to the space.

HONED SURFACE: Honed surface is a commonly preferred surface treatment in marble mosaics. In this process, the natural texture of marble is preserved while the surface is mattified and a textured appearance is achieved. Honed surface provides elegance and sophistication in marble mosaics, while also attracting attention with its texture and offering practical use with its non-slip feature.

BRUSHED SURFACE: During the brushing process, scratch effects are added to the surface to create a natural texture. This results in a non-slip surface, making it suitable for floors. Additionally, it adds a sophisticated touch to any space.

POLISHED SURFACE: Polished surface is a surface treatment commonly applied in the manufacturing process of materials such as stone, marble, or ceramics. This process ensures that the material achieves a smooth, shiny, and polished appearance.

Notes:

*Natural stone inherently exhibits variations. Colour, texture, shading, pitting, fissures, and veining may differ from the provided samples. These variances are intrinsic qualities of natural stone and should not be considered as defects.
